About Alan Watts

Alan Watts (1915-1973) was a British philosopher, writer, and speaker who interpreted and popularized Eastern philosophy for Western audiences. After serving as an Episcopal priest, he became well known for his books and lectures on Zen Buddhism, Taoism, and comparative religion. His other works include The Way of Zen and The Book: On the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are.
